Bad subscription management leading to unwanted orders

I paused my monthly subscription, and after the pause, it renewed as a weekly subscription. I missed the emails that came through telling me that they were renewing every week due to them all going to my promotions folder, and didn't realize this was happening until I got my second box in a week. At this point, I tried to go back in and adjust back to four weeks and pause, but by that point, two more boxes had been ordered. When I contacted them to try to return, they were unwilling to accept a return and would not offer any sort of refund. I understand part of this was my fault for missing the renewal emails, but the system defaulting to a weekly subscription is clearly a design flaw and they were unwilling to work with me in any way.
